Girls puberty lessons will be held the week of January 23rd.

Boys puberty lessons will be held the week of January 30th.

    Accelerated Math Club

The club will run for five Thursdays, beginning on Thursday, January 19 and ending on Thursday, February 16.

Our apologies that the form had the incorrect start and end dates on them.

    Absences

At this time of year, families are taking extended leaves from school for vacations and travel.  We would like to remind you of the district's policy on providing work for students who will be out.

From the HWRSD handbook (page 12):

The student will be held responsible for making
specific arrangements with their teacher(s) for
assignments. Work will be offered to students upon
their return from an absence from school. Please do
not ask teachers to prepare student assignments in
advance of your child’s trip. All work will be offered
to the student for full value credit upon the return of
    the student to class.

    School Store

The Hip Hop Shop, Soule Road's school store, will be open the first Friday of every month
.  Open this Friday, January 6!

    Study Island

Soule Road is using Study Island as a support for our math classes.  Click here, make sure you have your user name and password!  Email or contact your teacher if you are having trouble with Study Island.

    Looking for math help?

We encourage students who need some extra review or help with math topics to check out the following website:  Khan Academy.  The website includes video tutorials on math topics from basic addition through calculus explained in simple language and step by step .
The "Book Wizard" at the top of the page will help you and your child to choose appropriate books.  You choose the interest level (this is where you'd put in your child's age) and the reading level and the Wizard will make a list of book suggestions that are challenging, but age appropriate.

Please remember, we can't guarantee our school library has all the suggestions!  You can use the Destiny website to search our library catalog for the suggested books

    Destiny
Students can search the Soule Road library catalog from home as well as access information databases.  Use the link above to check it out.  You can also search for books at a certain reading level.

Remember, this is for our school library collection only.
